Mimitika sun care products have been designed to provide great comfort during use. They are non-sticky, non-greasy, and leave no white residue.

When you use them, it feels like using a "regular" everyday moisturiser or a beautiful enhancing oil, except that you are perfectly protected from UV rays.

But that's not all. Each formula is crafted as a complete skincare product. In addition to protection, our formulas are hydrating and enriched with antioxidants.

MIMITIKA creams do not contain allergens, artificial colorants, alcohol, or octocrylene, which are ingredients that often cause allergic reactions. Therefore, they are perfectly suitable for sensitive, atopic, or eczema-prone skin that is prone to allergic reactions.

All parts of the body should be protected from the sun. However, the most exposed and delicate areas are the face and hands, which are constantly exposed to the open air and have thinner skin (especially the face).

Be careful not to forget to protect the following areas, as they are prone to sunburn: neck, chest, lips, and the back of the ears. The scalp is also a area that needs protection from the sun: remember to wear a hat, cap, or a sun hat!

OF COURSE! And not just on vacation under the coconut trees! Yes, indeed, in everyday life, it's important to think about it. Explanation: While UVB rays (responsible for sunburns) decrease in winter, UVA rays (responsible for skin aging) are still present. Considering that UVA rays can penetrate through windows and 90% of them can pass through clouds, even in the city and even in cloudy weather, it's necessary to protect your face from UV rays.

All our sun care products are water-resistant for 80 minutes. After that, it's recommended to reapply them to ensure proper protection!

Our non-sun care products (products that don't contain SPF) are not waterproof.

Today, most of our sun protection products are formulated with organic filters. The reasons for this choice are as follows:

1/ To offer you a texture that encourages you to protect yourself. Organic filters, which are in oily form, provide a lightweight texture, a non-sticky, non-greasy finish, and no white residue. In contrast, mineral filters, often more "heavy" as they are initially in powder form, are more difficult to spread and leave a thick, whitish film on the skin. In our opinion, using organic filters ensures a pleasant and uniform application. Therefore, it is the safest way to protect yourself.

2/ The filters we use are safe for the skin and as environmentally friendly for the oceans as possible. Furthermore, we do not and will never use organic filters that are harmful to the marine environment (such as Oxybenzone and Octocrylene). We carefully select our filters without compromising on product effectiveness, texture, or the care it provides to your skin.

No, not at all! While the sun can be harsh on the skin and overall health, responsible for nearly 80,000 cases of skin cancer each year, self-tanner is perfectly harmless. Dermatologists unanimously agree on this: self-tanner is the "only safe and harmless way to achieve a tan."

The "coloration" effect of self-tanner is completely natural, only affecting the superficial layers of the skin, and fades away after a few days.

Certainly! Our self-tanning range has been created with inclusivity in mind, catering to all skin tones. Furthermore, our products are designed to adapt to the natural tanning shades of different skin types.

For darker skin tones, we recommend applying the product more frequently to achieve a visible result.

All our products (except sunscreens) contain over 90% natural ingredients. We formulate our products to be effective and pleasant by using as many natural ingredients as possible. We exclude all controversial substances.

Regarding sunscreens, we have chosen to use organic sun filters most of the time to ensure maximum application comfort and guarantee zero white traces. However, our sunscreen formulas are complemented with numerous natural ingredients known for their virtues, such as banana extract for Sun Lotions and virgin hibiscus oil for our Sun Oils.

Regardless of the SPF, during prolonged exposure to the beach in summer, it is advisable to reapply sunscreen every 2 hours for optimal skin protection.

All our sunscreen products are water-resistant, but if you sweat heavily, swim for more than an hour, or vigorously towel dry, it is recommended to reapply sunscreen.

Firstly, protecting yourself from the sun does not prevent you from tanning; it simply takes a bit longer when using a higher level of protection.

Secondly, all our sunscreen products contain an extract of a red algae called Laminaria Digitata, cultivated in Brittany. This ingredient naturally accelerates tanning by +24%. It stimulates the existing melanin in the body, allowing the skin to better protect itself against UV rays and the harmful effects of the sun, while speeding up the pigmentation process.

Thirdly, a "protected" tan is a healthier tan that lasts longer, appears less "red," and does not damage your skin or accelerate skin aging. It also helps to reduce the risk of skin cancer.

The Face Cream only exists in SPF50 because the skin on the face is one of the areas where the skin is thinnest and most sensitive. Not to mention the fact that the face is constantly exposed to UV rays.

According to clinical studies, it is recommended to always prioritise high SPF50 protection on the face, regardless of one's skin type, in order to limit the risks of premature aging.

Our iconic Mimitika fragrance is a blend of almond, coconut milk, fig blossoms, and vanilla notes.

It may sound a bit crazy, doesn't it? In fact, self-tanner provides a tan to the skin through the use of DHA. What is DHA? DHA, or dihydroxyacetone, is the active ingredient that gives the skin that lovely caramel color in a completely natural way. Despite its intimidating name, the DHA used in MIMITIKA products is 100% natural and derived from rapeseed flowers. Once applied, the tan doesn't immediately appear. You need to wait for three hours without contact with water for the initial even development. After that, the tan continues to deepen for up to 8 hours until it reaches its final coloration.

DHA only colors the outermost layer of the skin, which means the result is relatively ephemeral compared to a natural tan. With our product, the tan can last up to a maximum of 10 days. Don't worry, to maintain the tan, simply reapply every 2-3 days, depending on the desired result.

Of course! Firstly, the DHA we use, the active ingredient that provides the tanning effect on the skin, is 100% naturally derived from rapeseed flowers. Our Self-Tanning Body Foam contains over 94% naturally sourced ingredients: even the foaming agent responsible for the foamy texture is of natural origin. As for our Self-Tanning Face Cream, it contains 97% naturally sourced ingredients. And yes, it works just as well as the others, for real (we see your questions coming!) ;)

After sun exposure, the skin needs to be moisturised and repaired. The sun can be harsh on the skin, so it needs to be "treated." To do this, you should apply a moisturising lotion on clean skin that is soothing (for burns) and reparative (as skin cells get damaged from UVA and UVB exposure).
